Meet Sonia Flower, our Key Account Manager for the South West and Wales. She’s been instrumental in building trusted relationships and looking after our customers across the UK. We had a conversation with her to learn what drives her, how she approaches her job role and what she thinks about the future of the electrical and energy industry:
Tell us a little bit about yourself?
I’ve worked in this industry for over 30 years joining electrical wholesaler back in the day and then into manufacturing.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I would say that I am a very friendly person and I like building relationships within work and home life.
What’s your favourite thing to do outside of work?
One of my favourite things to do outside work is playing with my grandchildren and entertaining with friends and family.
What’s your role at CHINT Shield and what does a typical day look like for you?
My role within CHINT shield Is to build relationships with electrical wholesalers, OEM and panel builders.
What surprised you the most about working at CHINT Shield?
What surprises me the most with CHINT Shield is how accommodating the company has been and most of all, the vast product range that we can offer!

What excites you the most about the future of electrical innovation and sustainable energy?
What excites me the most about the future of electrical innovation, is how quick everything moves and how products are always changing for the better. In my younger days, I was a trainee site engineer and then became a sheet roofer. That’s one thing nobody ever expects to find from a woman.
