EIC Day walk challenge

Walking together for better mental health

CHINT Shield is proud to support the wellbeing of the people behind our industry. This is just as important as supporting the projects they deliver.

On 10th September 2026, our Managing Director, Kelvin Drinkwater will be joining the Electrical Industries Charity Team to take on the EIC Day Walk Challenge, a 13-mile walk through London in support of mental wellbeing across the electrical and energy industries.

The challenge brings people from across the sector together around an issue that affects us all. Mental health can have a significant impact on individuals, families, colleagues and workplaces, whilst open conversations, provide early support and foster a strong sense of community can make a real difference.

Supporting the Electrical Industries Charity

The walk will raise awareness and vital funds for The Electrical Industries Charity (EIC), which provides practical and emotional support to people working throughout the electrical and energy sectors.

Whether someone is facing challenges with mental health, financial wellbeing, family life or other difficult circumstances, the EIC is there to offer confidential advice, guidance and support when it is needed most.

It is an important reminder that no one should have to face a difficult time alone, particularly in an electrical industry in the UK built on people, partnerships and working together.

Proud to stand behind the team

We are proud to support Kelvin and every individual taking part in this year’s EIC Day Walk Challenge. Thirteen miles is a meaningful physical challenge, but it also represents something bigger; a collective commitment to putting wellbeing higher on the agenda across our industry.

We would like to wish Kelvin and the whole EIC Team the very best of luck for the day. We’ll be cheering them on every step of the way!
