Meet Paul McAssey, one of our Key Account Managers. He’s been instrumental in building trusted relationships and driving steady growth across London and the south-east region in the UK. We had a conversation with him to learn what drives him, how he approaches his job role and what he thinks about the future of the electrical and energy industry:
What is your role at CHINT Shield and what does a typical day look like for you?
I am a Key Account Manager and my role involves daily visits to Electrical Wholesalers, Electrical Contractors and OEMs. I’ve been working for CHINT Shield for over 11 years now!
Favourite thing to do outside of work?
Carp Fishing.
What surprised you the most about working at CHINT Shield?
We are one of the world’s largest manufacturer’s of low-voltage Electrical Equipment!
What’s one trend in the industry that you are watching closely ?
EV Market.
What’s the most exciting project you’ve worked on at CHINT Shield so far?
BP Chargemaster ( Now widely known as BP Pulse), which is one of the largest ultrafast EV charging networks in the UK, who offer both business and public charging solutions. I was involved in the specification and design for the EV chargers, in addition to the supply of CHINT Shield products. The project was valued at over 7 figures!
